Colm

  Colm导师是剑桥大学终身正教授兼工程系主任,同时也是英国物理学会(Institute of Physics)和英国工程技术协会(Institute of Engineering and Technology)的会士(是为协会的最高学术荣誉称号)。他是剑桥大学纳米科学中心的纳米工程研究组兼负责人、和超微显微镜的编辑委员会成员。Colm is a tenured professor and head of the Department of Engineering at Cambridge University. besides, He was honored as a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and the Institute of Engineering and Technology (the highest academic honor of the society). He is Head of the Nanoengineering Research Group and a member of the Editorial Board of Ultramicroscopes at the Nanoscience Centre at the University of Cambridge.

He joined the University of Cambridge in 1997 as a researcher in the Nanoscience Group and has since taught courses in nanotechnology, electronics, electromagnetism and quantum mechanics. During his tenure as Director of the Nanoscience Center from 2009 to 2010, he published more than 100 papers and lectures, and wrote and published the Cambridge University textbook on Nanotechnology.

Semiconductor devices have attracted the attention of academia and industry in various countries due to their advantages of easy integration, miniaturization, intelligence and high sensitivity. Whether it is wearable sensing devices, driverless cars, medical care and bioengineering, industrial automation, semiconductor devices are increasingly serving all walks of life. The project focuses on the working principle, composition, characteristics and application of semiconductors and transistors, aiming to help students broaden their knowledge, cultivate their comprehensive analysis and application abilities, and lay a foundation for future study and career development.

  在本项目中,我们将探讨电气工程的基础知识,会从研究材料导电的基本原理开始,然后学习基本的电路定律,研究电路如何操纵电子信号。项目将重点研究半导体器件和晶体管的相关技术原理,并探究其在不同应用中芯片设计的步骤,包括电动汽车芯片,可穿戴设备芯片和计算机等。在项目结束时,提交报告并进行成果展示。In this project, we will discuss the basic knowledge of electrical engineering, starting with the basic principle of material conductivity, and then learn the basic circuit laws to study how circuits manipulate electronic signals. The project will focus on the relevant technical principles of semiconductor devices and transistors, and explore the steps of chip design in different applications, including electric vehicle chips, wearable device chips and computers. At the end of the project, submit the report and show the results.
